In August, 1985 a group of dedicated, community-driven citizens got together and developed a plan to convert Sherborn's Old Town Hall into a community center.  The steering committee was comprised of Robert Ambos, Patricia Cassell, Richard Husselbee and Dewey Talbert. 

From this plan was formed The Sherborn Community Center Foundation, Inc.  A non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization whose sole purpose was to raise funds to restore and maintain this historic structure.  

Maintaining, scheduling and operating the Community Center is conducted by a cadre of volunteers who are dedicated to the preservation of this unique asset of the Town of Sherborn.
